The Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Offspring" is a tearjerker that says an awful lot about the sanctity of life and the awesomeness of (most of) the Star Trek franchise. The philosophical and ethical quandaries "The Next Generation" addresses are nothing short of fascinating, and although doing so exposes my nerdiness for all the world to see, I am compelled to recommend this series--along with the original 1966 series with William Shatner--for all Difficult Day Boxes owing to their huge entertainment value and thought-provoking natures. Also, Patrick Stewart is the greatest. Enjoy this short clip. You can find the entire episode on Netflix.
The suggested verse to repeat if it's a difficult day is Psalm 21:4
PRC buddies, remember to breathe!
"He asked life of you; -------> 5 count inhale
you gave it to Him." -------> 5 count exhale
** The "you" in this verse refers to Jesus, however, God asks life of us all. We don't give it as freely or as perfectly as His Son, that's for sure. But in the end, we all give it.
